Dagger Glaz Odina
Blade of mosaic Damascus steel, straight, complex profile, double-edged. With a stiffener in the center. The blade is adorned with intricate braided ornamentation forming a stylized eye with a golden pupil accented with a garnet insert. Ephesus consists of a handle made of ebony and a silver cross with straight ends. The top of the handle is shaped with a «cut» imitating a broken spear shaft. The surface of the handle is decorated with stylized Scandinavian geometric patterns. The shape of the dagger reminds us of the magic spear «Gungnir», one of the main attributes of the ases god Odin. The spear possessed the magical property of striking any target, piercing the thickest shields and shells and smashing the most tempered swords to pieces. The stylized eye placed on the blade recalls the story of Odin giving his eye to drink from the source of wisdom.
