Katana Daruma
Damascus steel katana blade, «ko-kobushi» package, blade body 1500 layers, core 300 layers. The pattern of the «Mokume» blade with an admixture of «Itame» is pronounced. The blade is of medium curvature with a uniform bend, the tip of the blade is medium. Blade shape «naginata-zukuri». The dales are typical for naginata. Drawing of the «Toran-ha» hardening line. Copper habaki, two-piece, nielloed. The sword’s tsuba is round «maaru», cast, made of shabuichi, in the style of «ko-katsushi». From the side of the handle, Bodhidharma (Daruma) is made in gold and copper, looking at the playing rats, and from the side of the blade — a rat running along the water with floating leaves. Futi is adorned with raging waves and foam. Kashira is adorned with the image of a golden rat sitting on a stone among the waves. Decorated grips in the shape of waves and stylized dragon fish. The scabbard is made of magnolia wood and covered with Japanese black shiny lacquer «urushi» with an insert of stingray skin. The head and mouth of the scabbard are made of shabuichi alloy with gold. Kurigata is made of buffalo horn. Katana-kosirae sword frame style, to be worn with the blade up through the belt.
